Front Yard Beauty

I was looking at our front yard today and was impressed with its beauty. Here are a few pictures. However, the pictures don't do the plants justice. We have these two flower pots on our front porch. Tom always has them filled with flowers.

These are some tress that Tom planted years ago to hide the ugly cement. They have really grown. The tips of the branches are a very pretty blue.

This is a pretty flowering plant that I haven't really noticed until today. I think it is so pretty.

For the beauty of the earth,
For the beauty of the skies,
For the love which from our birth,
Over and around us lies,
Lord of all, to thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise.

Those big pots are awesome and the fact that your husband keeps the flowers in there? I'm impressed! I love how you "just noticed" the pretty flowering plant in your yard. I do that too. Im like "where did that come from?" ha! Great post, girl! Keep going!

What ugly cement? I think the style of your home is stately. The plants are beautiful and add a great deal to the "curb appeal" of your house. The trees do too. Thanks for sharing. The fact that Tom does all of this is the best thing of all! Fondly, Susan

When I just stop and look around, I'm always amazed by the beauty that surrounds us everyday that I take for granted. This post and that beautiful poem are great reminders!!

When you are finished with the big pots, send them to me here in Minnesota, I love them. You have a beautiful yard. I wish we had the green all year around but will have to be happy with 4 months of green 2 months of brown and 6 months of white. Thank you for sharing your wonderful flowers.
Take care and God Bless!!!

I love the flower pots. It sure brightens up a yard, house to have pretty flowers and pots around.
I have been trying diligently to grow some here, but they have NOT grown as well as they did for me in Utah. Not enough HEAT.......maybe they'll still amount to something before the frost hits here.'
It is a learning process for me here trying to KNOW when and how to plant things.
We did buy us a green house though that we plant to have fun with next spring in getting our pots ready.

besides, don't flowers just make us HAPPY

I have been hunting down the name of that pretty flowering plant - fortnight lily. I want to get some of the white ones with the purple centers for my front yard.
